Welcome to our new Director of Children's Ministry - Joan Lundbohm!

Joan comes to us from Mount of Olives Lutheran Church in Mission Viejo, where she has served over the last 20 years in multiple positions: the Director of the Robert Lange Preschool, the Director of Children’s Ministry, and as a volunteer Special Events Coordinator. Under her leadership, the preschool grew to be well-known in the community as a place that knows how to tend to the specific needs of each family while also maintaining a large, quality program. The church’s Vacation Bible School, for which she devised original curriculum, has become a three-week outreach program, welcoming over 500 kids to the campus, including a week focused on special needs children. The annual Easter Fair is now a community extravaganza, drawing over 1500 people. According to all of her references, Joan is an excellent planner, an effective and loving volunteer coordinator, and an intuitive mentor.
Joan will be coordinating our efforts to provide families with children, preschool through Grade 6, opportunities to grow in Christian spirituality through transforming programs and relationships. This position will coordinate children’s ministries in our traditional English and Korean congregations, music ministry, and Messy Church, and will be a liaison to our Child’s World Preschool.
